WordPress.com or Blogger? Get a Free Blog Here!
I decided one day to start Blogging on WordPress.com about web design "my favorite subject" after writing a few content rich, UNIQUE written articles adding 1 link on the bottom to my website, and spending a half a day on a custom theme, the nice folks at WordPress.com quickly shut it down claiming i violated their TOS? Really? And How so i asked? Here was their response
"Hi,
You agreed to the WordPress.com Terms of Service when you signed up.
WordPress .com does not allow blogs that are created for the purpose of directing traffic or creating backlinks to commercial web sites, affiliate/ptc programs or multi-level marketing campaigns. Your site has been suspended and will not be returned to you.
If you want to continue using WordPress for your site, we suggest you look into self-hosted WordPress. You can learn more about self-hosted WordPress at http://wordpress.org/ and can find a list of our recommended hosts at http://get.wp.com/hosting/ ."
Then they say on their website:
"We know there are a lot of places you could put your blog like Blogger.com, and we’d be extra honored if you consider us. If you’re a current user and you dig what we’re doing, the best way you can help us out is to help a friend get set up as well. It also gives you more buddies for your blogroll. "
Well here is a tip: if they find a link back to a website (any website) they will shut you down within minutes! Most websites are commercial. I simply added a link to the bottom of an article back to my web deign website so people interested in learning more about how to choose a web designer. Simple...as millions of others have done on WordPress.com.
now below is my response and a list of Blogs on WordPress with links to other websites.
(Thank God i wont be suspended here at Blogger.com for providing these links)

Gee Really?
These are all well aged commercial websites advertising products or services while providing rich content. I found 450,000 of them...and sending me a commercial links to some kick-back 3rd party hosting company in my email just violated your own TOS!
After this response i received NOTHING, no reply back from WordPress.com.
In conclusion, WordPress is a GREAT Platform. I have even made 100s of dollars worth of donations to the development of WordPress, but my advice if your thinking of using WordPress.com for your blog? Don't waste your time with WordPress.com unless you want to spend days working on the blog along with the WordPress.com and their stupid "NO LINKS ALOUD POLICY!" but i see only for some people.
Thank You Blogger.com for not "Spazing Out" as WordPress.com Clearly did.
Its all about FREEDOM which Blogger.com Provides and WordPress.com does NOT!
